I approached Cybil Hill after attending a technology seminar at IUP about possibly using cell phones in her Spanish classes to do dialogues. Miss Hill and I have had several conversations about how to electronically do dialogues for her Moodle course, so this was one thing we would like to try in class. Mr. Boylan and Mr. Croushore were okay and Mr. Croushore stopped by on the day of the lesson. We had the students sign an Acceptable Use Policy and a letter was sent home explaining the project.blog_cellphones

Miss Hill had her Spanish 2 kids create a dialogue about a medical problem. Students were to either be seeking assistance in one way or discussing their medical problems with at least one other individual. They were to have some kind of sound effects in their dialogue. Students wrote and practiced their dialogues. When they were ready, the students called a number given to Miss Hill by http://drop.io. The students dialed her extension and then left her a voice mail. All the voice mails were compiled and can be download for compilation into a podcast.
